OCERT Unified Government Information Security Campaign “WAAY”

Waay Campaign

OCERT Unified Government Information Security Campaign “Waay” is targeting government ministries and authorities, it is part of the national information security campaign launched by OCERT in 2009 and is a continuation of phase one of the government security campaign conducted by OCERT where a representative from government organizations attended train the trainer program in information security organized by OCERT.


OCERT is aiming at initiating a standard and unified information security campaign to promote cyber and information security awareness, sharing best practices to mitigate security risks in order to ensure business continuity and to minimize the impacts of security risks in the government.


The duration of the Campaign is one year; it launched in september2011 and will culminate by the end of august 2012.

There will be different security topics to be covered within the campaign duration with an average of one security topic per month.

The Campaign will use a variety of media, events and resources for information security awareness campaign within the government entities; OCERT has developed a special security awareness brochures, emails, Screen savers, posters, pamphlets, videos that will be sent to all government organizations to be used for the campaign as per the monthly topic, the communication tools also includes OCERT Website, OCERT Learning Management System, and OCERT ambassador s website.
