 SID2018

It is worth to mention that the Safer Internet Day (SID) has become a landmark event in the online safety calendar. It started as an initiative of the EU SafeBorders project in 2004 and taken up by the Insafe network as one of its earliest actions in 2005, and then has gone beyond its geographical border to be celebrated by all every first Tuesday from the month of February every year.

More than 100 countries are celebrating this international day and this year it comes under the theme of (Create, Connect and Share Respect: A Better Internet Starts with You”). From cyberbullying to social networking, each year Safer Internet Day aims to raise awareness of emerging online issues and chooses a topic reflecting current concerns.
